Whether using a 4k monitor or combining multiple HD monitors in an Eyefinity setup, you will get a truly immersive experience. When it comes to Ultra resolution gaming it’s clear that AMD has a substantial lead over the competition. With such a direct connection to your hardware, game developers are discovering a whole new world of immersion and performance made possible by AMD graphics. Like other GCN cards the R7 265 supports Mantle, the completely new low level API which gives developers the power to speak directly to the GPU core. It uses AMD’s Graphics Core Next architecture enabling the latest DirectX 11.2 graphics features delivering fierce performance and revolutionary intelligence. The Club 3D R7 265 royalQueen is a PokerSeries card which means it is fitted with our custom PCB and widely awarded CoolStream cooler featuring a large heatsink and copper heatpipes for maximum cooling capacity at minimum noise level. These specs and an SEP of $ 149 will blow the competition away! The R7 265 royalQueen offers 1024 stream processors, a clock speed of up to 925MHz, 2048Mb of GDDR5 memory at 5600MHz and a 256 Bit memory bus.
AMD RADEON R7 265 SERIES
The R9 270 aims higher by offering more stream processors, faster memory and being capable of powering higher resolution and multiple monitors.Īs a bridge between the R7 and R9 series we are proud to introduce the Radeon R7 265 royalQueen. The R7 260X is an excellent mid range card for competitive gaming in resolutions of up to 1080p. Right now there is a substantial gap between the R7 and R9 Series. There are still some gaps in the product lineup, waiting to be filled by new cards taking the performance lead at their respective price point. Thank you in advance for any information or pointers.Slowly but surely we are completing the Radeon R7 and R9 series!įirst announced in September 2013 at the AMD Hawaii tech event, the Radeon R7 and R9 series have been available in the market for some months now. I would very much appreciate any pointers, information on where to look for the BIOS ROM for the OPAL XT device.
AMD RADEON R7 265 DRIVER
If I can get to this information, I could revise the NetBSD kernel driver further and have the kernel use that BIOS to initialize itself use it. I have looked at the PCI Expansion ROM BAR register, again no luck. I have looked at 0xC0000 for the BIOS ROM, but no luck. Is it possible to get information, or pointer where to look for, for the BIOS ROM for the OPAL XT device. Since the radeon application (Radeon Adrenalin software) is finding the BIOS ROM for both these graphics devices, I was wondering where the application is looking for the BIOS ROM. This application can find the driver and its BIOS ROM (version of the ROM and all the other information) for the Kaveri device as well as the OPAL device (the Radeon R7 M265).
AMD RADEON R7 265 WINDOWS
On Windows 10, I am using the radeon application "Radeon-Software-ADrenalin-2020-21.5.2-Win 10-64bit-Legacy-ASICs-Junw21-LEGACY". I have found the BIOS ROM for the Kaveri device in the ACPI tables of the system.īut I can not find the BIOS ROM for the OPAL XT device. I can boot the system normally and can use the DRM and the system. The system is now using the Kaveri graphics device. I revised the kernel driver to use that BIOS ROM. After searching for the BIOS on the system I found the BIOS ROM for the Kaveri device. The system was giving an error saying that it could not find the BIOS ROM for these devices. On NetBSD, the kernel was not able to recognize these graphics devices (both Kaveri and OPAL XT).

Those systems do not share the same HDD, they are on different HDD's. The other operating system is NetBSD 9.2 (amd64). And both these graphics devices work without problems. The laptop came with windows installed (currently Windows 10). I do not want to further comment on the way they have handled this issue.

I have contacted acer regarding this issue, and they were unhelpful. One is the Kaveri device (vendor/product id: 0x1002/0x1309) and the other one is the OPAL XT device (0x1002/0圆604). I have a laptop (acer) that has an FX-7500 CPU and two radeon graphics devices.
